Bentley Systems

As a senior web designer for Bentley Systems our team recently completed a complete site redesign. For the current iteration the team was tasked with not only a visual overhaul of the current site, but a full platform change as well. We used a lot of UX research looking into industry best practices and went in with the goal to improve the overall user experience and create an improved user journey to eventually transition the site into an e-commerce website. We used heatmaps and analytics data to determine where our users were going, and which pages were being utilized. In doing so, we were able to bring our page count from around 50,000 to about 300.

With our previous site having almost no focus on the mobile experience, that was a major shift with the redesign. What is helping there is moving the site from Sitecore into WordPress. This was done to take away our reliance on outside agencies to develop responsive pages, and move that entirely to our team to create a seamless responsive experience.

J. Snyder came to us with branding and logo established, and wanted to build a website to match their new branding. They wanted an easy to use site for new and existing clients to reach out schedule appointments, and learn about the services they offer.

The site was designed and built the custom site builder Elementor in WordPress. The previous site was a bit dated and the user journey was not entirely clear. The focus of the site was to showcase the services they offered, and provide a way for clients to schedule an appointment, and custom form was creating using WP Forms. A big goal was to reduce the size of the menu and bring the content of the page up above the fold, while still providing a clear and easy to use menu. The “Make an Appointment” CTA was featured prominently on the site to ensure the users could get to the form at any time through their journey. We added testimonials to the homepage to give a more personal and real touch.

Client had recently purchased this company and the existing site and branding was very outdated, and neglected. I was tasked with completely revamping the website and branding for the company to give a more modern touch. The site was built in WordPress using Elementor, and went in to create a smooth user experience on any device. Because this company puts people out in liquor stores, the mobile experience was very important in the new site
